Buddy Walk on Washington
Please join us for the Buddy Walk on Washington® (BWW), an annual two-day advocacy event on April 11(advocacy training) and April 12 (Capitol Hill appointments), 2016. The training sessions on April 11 will be held at The Capitol Skyline Hotel. DSNMC will pay for a limited number of hotel rooms for members who attend both days of the conference. The Buddy Walk on Washington®, sponsored by the National Down Syndrome Society® (NDSS), brings the Down syndrome community together to advocate for public policies that impact the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families.
The event lasts two days: on the first day, participants will learn about NDSS key priorities and will have the opportunity to connect with other affiliates and advocates; on the second day, participants will meet with Members of Congress and their staff on Capitol Hill to advance education, research and healthcare for people with Down syndrome.
