The workshops are part of ArtStream’s Leadership Programming. Teens and adults with Down syndrome (ages 15-40) and their Peer Partners will use the arts to work on communication skills.
On September 18th participants will have the opportunity to write and practice a speech starting with the word “I can…” They will also have the opportunity to deliver the speech at the DSNMC Buddy Walk on October 1, 2016.

Self-Advocates are encouraged to come with a friend or sibling as a Peer Partner.
There will be a parent meeting during the workshop to share information and socialize.
