DSNMC Parent/Guardian Speaker Series: Connecting Families to research which affects you
Tonight we will be joined by Dr. Melissa Parisi who earned her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University. Dr. Parisi is the Chief of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Branch at NIH; she will speak to us about two important research projects at NIH: DS-Connect Registry and INCLUDE: Investigation of Co-occurring conditions across the lifespan to understand Down syndrome. Regardless of the age of your loved one with Ds, this meeting will be pertinent to you.
Dr. Parisi and her staff look forward to hearing input from parents, siblings, and self-advocates about the issues that matter to them to help NIH develop research priorities for those with Down syndrome.
